Get to know the education service activities
A programação regular é complementada com projectos que por diversas linguagens, permitem o desenvolvimento estrutural de processos educativos e artísticos, muitos deles de alcance social.
It’s all up for grabs. Casa da Musica’s Hotspots are free use spaces, where anyone can explore equipment, installations and interactive objects. Sound and music are created through the visitor’s intervention, by means of innovative processes that allow for brief one-off or more regular experiences. Accessible to all, they can be explored individually or in groups.
There are more and more routes we follow as we roam around the world. Call us and we’re off, taking with us our own productions that reveal just how universal music is. They might be shows, workshops, training activities or artistic residencies - everything that bears the signature of the Education Service is prepared with the intention of finding other audiences, in other places.
Whenever we leave, we take Casa da Música with us, which means that each of our actions is engrained with the identity of an institution interested in taking active musical experiences to everyone. Underlying this commitment is the equality that defines our practice: whether in the extremities of Portugal or just beyond the first exit on the motorway, our level of dedication is always high.
With much to offer, the Roaming programme finds new destinations and forges long-lasting relationships wherever it goes. As such, over recent years, we have shown a presence in Tokyo Bunka Kaikan (Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre), Palau de la Musica, in Barcelona, or in the SESC in São Paulo, to mention a few examples of our trips abroad. In this country, naturally, we visit concert halls from north to south.
In 2015, we return to concert halls we know (for example, we revisit Catalonia with the show Cha Cha Pum) and we premiere in others. This dynamic reflects the recognition, by agents and programmers from different cultural institutions, of the level of innovation and quality of what we offer.
In this agenda, you will find everything we have to offer you. In addition to the initiatives on the calendar, Roaming encompasses special programmes, such as artistic residencies and performances of the various musical projects associated with the Education Service, all of them original, different, and therefore, Out of this World.
The Education Service’s Roaming programme is always open to requests. Any queries about our proposals or scheduling possibilities can be made via the email address:seducativo@casadamusica.com.
